Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead (1990)

Although it is the story of the Shakespearean play Hamlet, this time it is centered around the two messengers of the play; the sweet, witty but slower Rosencrantz and the angry, frustrated but smarter Guildenstern. The two think that have been sent for, but not sure yet as to why. After meeting some traveling actors they find in an instant that they’re in Hamlet’s father’s castle, and are called upon to deliver him to England to the English King. But they have no idea of the destiny that is in store for them and even when they finally find out their fate they’re still denied an explanation as to the reason why. I personally don’t know a whole lot of the story of Hamlet, but this movie is so funny and entertaining that it doesn’t really matter. The constant bantering back and forth between Oldman and Roth is such fun to watch. Starring Gary Oldman, Tim Roth, Richard Dreyfuss 8/10
