Under the Tuscan Sun (2003)

Thirty-five year old Frances Mayes is a writer living in San Francisco who thinks she has the perfect life. But she gets a rude awakening when she finds out her husband is cheating on her. So after they get a divorce, Frances gets very depressed and suffers from writer's block. Her best friend Patti convinces her to take a much needed vacation to Tuscany. On a whim, Frances buys a villa that's for sale and fixes it up. She also becomes friends with her neighbors and meets a handsome man named Marcello. Based on the book of the same title, this is a wonderful romantic story about second chances. Diane Lane is simply wonderful. Starring Diane Lane, Sandra Oh, Lindsay Duncan, Raoul Bova 8/10
