Planes, Trains and Automobiles (1987)
All Neal Page wants is to get home for Thanksgiving. But it is easier said than done. When trying to catch a taxi in Thanksgiving rush hour, someone steals his cab. Then his flight is canceled because of bad weather so he tries to find another flight to board. While waiting he meets Del Griffith, shower curtain ring salesman who just can't seem to keep his mouth shut. Neal isn't amused by his jokes and doesn't want to socialize with him. He just wants to get home to see his family. But they end up on the same flight and sitting next to one another. From there the hilarity ensues when one thing after another goes wrong for the unlikely pair, all the while trying to get to Chicago. With hysterically funny and sometimes sad moments; Steve Martin and John Candy make a great odd couple. Starring Steve Martin, John Candy, Michael McKean, Kevin Bacon, Dylan Baker, Larry Hankin, Matthew Lawrence, Edie McClurg 7/10
