Liar Liar (1997)

Fletcher Reed is a successful attorney who constantly lies his way through life. And even though he adores his son Max, he doesn't keep his promises to him. Max it seems is always let down by his father, even when when Fletcher misses Max's own birthday. So for his birthday, Max makes a wish that for one day his father couldn't tell a lie. The next morning Fletcher wakes up to soon discover that no matter how hard he tries, he has to tell the truth. His son tells him about the wish and Fletcher asks Max to undo the wish he made, but Max replies that he can't because when he made the wish he meant it. So Fletcher has to try and defend his client, Samantha Cole however his entire defense that he has for her is a lie. A laugh out loud riot; Carrey as always gives a wacky and hysterically funny performance. Starring Jim Carrey, Maura Tierney, Justin Cooper, Cary Elwes, Jennifer Tilly, Amanda Donahue, Swoosie Kurtz, Mitch Ryan, Eric Pierpoint 7/10
