Ghost (1990)

Swayze plays a yuppie investment banker, Moore plays his girlfriend Molly. They are young and very much in love, until one fateful night when Sam gets mugged and is murdered. But his spirit is still alive and kicking. He finds out that his best friend Carl is involved with drug dealers and is laundering money at the bank. So desperate and needing to warn his girlfriend, Sam goes to a spiritual reader and adviser Oda Mae Brown (played by Goldberg, who won an Academy Award for her role) who is just what Sam is looking for in helping him out because only she can hear him. Every performance is terrific and heartfelt; these are characters you genuinely care about. Except for the villain of course. Starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, Tony Goldwyn, Rick Aviles, Vincent Schiavelli 8/10
