Waiting to Exhale is the story of four African-American women; Savannah, Bernadine, Robin, and Gloria, all four are friends with different ways of life. Savannah relocates to Phoenix hoping to find Mister Right, Bernadine, newly divorced when her husband leaves her for a white woman, Robin who wants to settle down and not be a mistress, and Gloria, single mother raising her son, his father a homosexual. Genuinely entertaining, mostly because of the four central characters whose lives you can't help but get invested in.
