Suburban American teen Joel Goodson is having some trouble figuring out what to do with his life. His father wants for him to attend Princeton, but Joel doesn't think he'd ever get accepted. When his folks go out of town, he drives his father's Porsche 928 with his friend Barry, then his other friend Miles calls a call girl for him to come over his house but finds out that girl Jackie is really a male transvestite. So Jackie gives him a number of someone who he'll like named Lana. But after Joel spends the night with her, he doesn't have enough money to pay her, so he goes to get the money from a bond he has at the bank. When he comes back, he finds Lana gone and a priceless glass egg stolen from his house. However when Joel and Miles go to get the egg back, Lana's pimp goes after them. One of Tom Cruise's best films of the 80's; the most memorable moment being when he's dancing around in his underwear to Bob Seger's "Old Time Rock N' Roll".
