Ace Ventura resides in Miami, Florida and is a very different type of private investigator; he solves crimes that involve missing or lost pets. To the detectives at the police department he's a joke and constantly laughed at because he isn't considered a real detective. But Ace has keen instincts and is a master of disguise. So when the Miami Dolphins most beloved football mascot is stolen, it's Aces' chance to prove just how good a detective he really is. Played by the talented and funny Jim Carrey in both Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls, Ace is not a character you're likely to forget; from his eccentric, unpredictable behavior to his love of animals he is who you'd want in a sticky situation because he always gets his man, or beast for that matter.

Character Duo Spotlight: Bill & Ted
Bill S. Preston "Esquire" and Ted "Theodore" Logan are two goofy but not so bright dudes residing in San Dimas, California and although they start their own rock band The Wyld Stallyns they can't play instruments. In danger of failing their history class if they don't ace their oral report, Bill and Ted are visited by Rufus, a man of the future who is sent to help them pass their report. With the help of a time-traveling telephone booth, Bill and Ted are sent back through history and pick up some major historical figures, including Billy the Kid, Socrates, Napoleon and Abraham Lincoln, to have them speak at their presentation. Played by Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves in two of the Bill and Ted films (Excellent Adventure in 1989 and Bogus Journey in 1991), Bill and Ted are totally excellent characters and despite being rather dim-witted they have a most triumphant time.

Character Spotlight: Inspector Clouseau
Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau is the bumbling and accident-prone police inspector of the French Sûreté, who believes he is a genius when it comes to solving cases but in actuality makes trouble and destruction on almost anyone who crosses his path. Played by legendary actor Peter Sellers, he perfected Clouseau's odd French accent to be nasal-sounding, so that some words, like "room" sound like "reum" and "bomb" like "beumb". Sellers has cemented his legendary status with this iconic character more than any other character he has played. Clouseau has since been played by other actors, most recently by Steve Martin in a rebooted version of The Pink Panther.

Character Spotlight: Patrick Bateman
Clean-cut and extremely diligent when it comes to hygiene, Patrick Bateman had been first introduced in Bret Easton Ellis' novel titled American Psycho, about a man leading a Jekyll and Hyde double life; by day a Wall Street investment banker and by night a psychotic killer with an obsession for blood. The character has been portrayed on the screen by Christian Bale in the film version of American Psycho. Bateman is a character that is shallow and has no feelings of remorse or pity inside him, his only feelings he does have is of greed and disgust, and in the film we see that he has difficulty controlling his urges, confessing in voice-over that his "mask of sanity is about to slip". Despite the morbid subject matter of the film, it has some moments of black comedy that'll have you laughing out loud.
